Ms. Nascimento has been working in the Environmental Industry since 1997 specializing in managing complex projects for clients in the petroleum and manufacturing industries. Carla is a New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) and holds a Professional Geologist license from Tennessee.
Carla’s project experience includes portfolio management of sites across New Jersey, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi. She has prepared Lifetime Reserve Costs based on probabilistic modeling for risk management associated with sites located in the United States, United Kingdom, China, and Germany, and she has conducted desktop due-diligence of sites located in Spain, France, United Kingdom, and China supporting liability transfers and general portfolio management for her clients.
She has overseen and conducted environmental site assessments, groundwater modeling and aquifer analysis, vapor intrusion investigations, and remedial actions, including technical oversight for vapor intrusion investigations and remedial investigations at a site located in Brazil. Carla has managed sites with impacts ranging from petroleum compounds, chlorinated compounds, metals (including hexavalent chromium, lead and arsenic), and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB).
Carla has managed a $7M environmental liability risk-transfer (ELT) project in New Jersey that qualified as one of the largest ozone injection projects in the United States to date. The project involved ozone remediation of soils impacted with PCBs and petroleum hydrocarbons, and groundwater impacted with PCBs and chlorinated solvents. In addition, Carla successfully managed retail gas station sites that were part of a fixed-fee modified risk transfer project in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
