Mr. Barnes is a Professional Geologist (PG) who obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Montclair State University and has worked in the environmental consulting and site remediation field since 1986. He has managed large project portfolios undergoing various stages of the investigation and remediation for many types of clients including developers, municipal agencies, state agencies, petroleum companies, insurance companies, financial institutions, manufacturers and commercial companies. Mr. Barnes clients range from Fortune 500 companies to private homeowners.
Mr. Barnes has extensive experience negotiating with regulators and managing program teams conducting work on underground storage tank, Brownfields, Superfund, landfill, dry cleaner, terminals, refineries, and other sites. He routinely helps client obtain public funding for investigative and remedial actions performed to address leaking underground storage tanks. His work includes directing soil, groundwater and vapor intrusion investigations and remediation. Mr. Barnes is an NJDEP licensed Subsurface Evaluator and holds a Loss Prevention System certification.
